Sept. 30, 2012 - Summer to Fall

Goodbye Walnut Creek!

Happy to learn that there's a Hillstone in SF so I can have my favorite Boston dish:
Thai Beef Noodle Salad

We're seeing mini vineyards instead of grass in a few front yards.

Sausalito...

Spinning burger grill.

Uncle Timmy would like these metal sculptures.

The lunch stop we must make every time we go to Napa:  the market at V. Sattui Winery...

Here are the crazy pink hat ladies that host a consignment party 3 days out of every month.  Peter got lots of flattery when picking up our new nightstands.

Huge beach at the end of the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

Ha...

Our new gym and pool across the street from our apartment :)

Little beach for kayak rentals in Sausalito.

Best taco shop.

Restoration Hardware has a new flagship store nearby called Bay & Child.  Very high end.

Momma Charl visits!

Mother & daughter at Robert Mondavi Winery

Tiburon (the peninsula adjacent to Sausalito)...

Tiburon Art Festival...

Heart of succulents reminded us of the wedding.

Thai Terrific Special at Cafe del Soul, down the street:
quinoa, spinach, apple, almonds, carrots, onion in an organic peanut sauce.

Lisa visits!  Music at the Sausalito Art Festival.

Sonoma....

Olive oil tasting.

Back at Cafe del Soul for the Southwestern Salad:
avocado, chicken, cheddar, red onion & chipotle dressing.

A beautiful coastal drive along the Marin Headlands: miles of mountainous open space adjacent to Sausalito...

Dozens of these WWII bunkers dot the drive to Fort Cronkhite, which seems like just a surfer's beach now.

Capitola Art Festival, adjacent to Santa Cruz...

Somehow I was volunteered to make three types of dainty tea sandwiches for a pre/postnatal exercise luncheon.

The view of the bay from our new Sausalito Archstone driveway.

I found a good Italian deli at the Venice Gourmet in town, let's see if it will live up to Peter's standards!
